Shuchi Sharma is the Global Vice President and Lead of Gender Intelligence at SAP, responsible for the strategy that supports SAP’s goal to obtain 28 percent women in leadership positions in 2020 and 30 percent in 2022. In this role, Shuchi leads, designs and implements the gender intelligence strategy to ensure it is integrated into the fabric of SAP’s culture, values and business model. She works with global stakeholders throughout the organization to create and deliver initiatives designed to foster a culture of inclusion related to achieving SAP’s gender equity goals and will serve as a subject matter expert on gender-related issues. Shuchi oversees SAP’s Gender Intelligence programs including SAP’s Women’s Professional Growth Webinar series and collaborates closely with the SAP Business Women’s Network.
Shuchi has experience in many aspects of SAP’s business including services, sales and marketing. She served on the global leadership team for SAP’s business consulting practice for many years managing several parts of the EMEA region, held a global marketing role and most recently led the North American Success Factors Business Transformation Advisory team. Shuchi started her career in management consulting at Ernst and Young LLP.
In addition, Shuchi has over 17 years’ experience advancing women within the technology and health care industry. In 2007, she launched an organization dedicated to women’s leadership and professional development in Heidelberg, Germany that has grown and developed over the last ten years to provide education, networking and coaching to over 350 women from over 14 countries and 12 industries. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary where she received a Master of Arts degree in Organic Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Additionally, she received a Master’s degree in Public Health Policy and Management from the University of Michigan. Shuchi speaks five languages: English, German, Hindi, French and some Italian.
