Caterina CostaDeputy Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, ILO

Caterina is the first female president of the Chamber of Industries of Guayaquil and the current President of the National Federation of Chambers of Industry. Lawyer graduated from the Catholic University. Master in Comparative Law at New York University and in Business Administration from the Federico Santa María University.
She carried out a Macroeconomics program for Social Negotiators at ILO and another IDE program with the IDB for Women’s Training for Corporate Governance. She became involved in trade union activity more than 20 years ago.
She is a member of the board of the Ecuadorian Association of Plastics-ASEPLAS, where she also served as President, as well as the Latin American Association of Plastics_ALIPLAST and Vice President of the Ecuadorian Business Committee. She is currently Vice President of Poligrup S.A, a company with more than 40 years in the manufacture of plastic products for the productive sector and fiberglass for the wind industry.
On a social level, she volunteers at the Niños con Futuro Foundation, which provides education for children at risk and at APROFE, which takes care of the health of women and their families.
