AVON works in more than 70 countries to defend the access of women to their rights, to take care of their health and their physical, social and emotional integrity. In this sense, as Executive Director of the AVON Foundation, Florencia leads in Argentina the programs: Avon Promise to End Breast Cancer and Speak out against Gender Based Violence – the two main causes that most affect women worldwide.
With regard to Breast Cancer Program, the AVON-LALCEC Mobile Mammography travels all over the country performing free mammograms to women on risk and without access to this study. The Breast Cancer Avon Promise also delivers educational and awareness campaigns to promote early detection of this disease.
Regarding the Speak Out Program, Florencia has been responsible for the implementation, in Argentina and Chile, of the Institutes of Justice together with the Vital Voices Human Rights; as well as the development and launching of “S.O.S HER: Trapped in a Violent Reality”, a virtual reality campaign that allows us to experience firsthand the daily suffering of a woman victim of GBV. In 2017, AVON became the first company in Argentina to offer their female employees a GBV Protocol and Leave. Also launched in Brazil and next to be implemented in Chile, this HR policy reinforces a responsible corporate approach to this issue.
