Macarena joined EY 19 years ago and was promoted to partner in 2005. She worked 4 years as a partner in Tax Consulting while she was responsible for quality and risk issues for the South American sub-area, and for the next 7 years, she worked in Transaction Consulting, of which she was a leading partner for 4 years.
In 2017, Macarena left the leadership of the Transaction Consulting to return to Tax Consulting as a leader, role she maintains in a transitional period at time she began to exercise her new role as Country Managing Partner of EY Chile from January 1, 2018.
